1905 Ray MILLAND, actor - Oscar winner
Born in Neath, as Reginald Alfred Truscott-Jones, he won an Oscar in 1946 for The Lost Weekend. (d.1986)

Willie Llewellyn
Born in Tonypandy in 1879, Willie captained Wales & London Welsh and was a member of the Welsh team that beat the 1905 touring All Blacks. Such was the local respect for him, the rioters who sacked Tonypandy High Street in 1910 left his chemist shop unscathed. (d.1973)

Ken Jones
1921 Ken JONES, rugby player & athlete - British Lion & Olympic medalist
Born in Blaenavon, Ken won 44 caps for Wales & 3 caps fro British Lions. He scored the winning try for Wales v New Zealand in 1953. He also won a silver medal at the1948 Olympic Games as part of 4 x 100 m relay and Bronze at 1954 Empire Games 220 yards. 1954 BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year. (d.2006)
